Oh hey I'm Julia. I'm 23. I graduated from Rowan University, and I live outside of Philly with my boyfriend and our cat Chauncey. I rule. I enjoy the finer things in life such as live music, knitting, reading, talk radio, Wilco, and Mr. Peanut.

So yesterday, a good friend of mine called to tell me she was laid off from her job.
In my group, I know a total of three people who have lost their jobs within a year. Eeeek! I won’t lie, it makes it so much easier having other friends from other jobs going through the same thing. Although I did still feel bad for her, I told her it’d be okay because that’s what I think. It just sucks right now.
At least it’s the weekend.
Tonight, Scott and I are going to the Memphis Taproom, and I’ve been DROOLING over the menu all week long. Every other Friday we pick a new restaurant to try in the area, and this week I got to pick. Saturday is Scott’s Mom’s wedding, and I bought these ridiculous high heels by Guess for 31 dollars. Can I walk in them? Probably not. But we’ll figure it out. I’m excited to schmooze with everyone and bother my parents as well.
As for today? I will drink my coffee, job search, lift some weights, maybe go for a walk, knit a hat, watch some shitty television, and chat with my friends. The apartment is my oyster.
