Oh hey I'm Julia. I'm 23. I graduated from Rowan University, and I live outside of Philly with my boyfriend and our cat Chauncey. I rule. I enjoy the finer things in life such as live music, knitting, reading, talk radio, Wilco, and Mr. Peanut.

Turn my headphones up!

My cousin Emily is a Zumba instructor in Collingswood, so when Monday night comes, I don’t mind driving over the bridge to go to her class. ALWAYS a good time, and worth it. I leave exhausted, sweaty, and proud I made it through the hour. She is demanding, and does two classes every Monday and Thursday night. I have NO idea how she does it, but it can totally kick you butt. I got Scott to come with me, just for company, and also because I was curious if he coudl keep up.

Is that mean? Scott, while skinny in a flannel and torn up jeans, is actually pretty ripped. He’s got crazy muscles and eats very well, protein powder and what not. It’s over my head. But yeah, he can lift weights. But can he dance to cheesy songs and bora bora?

Yes.

While he looked confused, he managed to keep up, as one of the two men in the class. I am proud of him.

Anyway. Wild Monday night, eh?

Speaking of Monday night, my new favorite show is Heavy.

The guy that is on it next week is 600 pounds. SIX. HUNDRED. 6-0-0. Even if he loses 300 lbs., he’ll still be 300 friggen pounds. It blows my mind. Here I am, counting calories, trying to drop a size or 5 lbs., and this dude, he can barely walk. Insane. I usually eat dinner around the time Heavy is on, so I mean…eating a grilled cheese while watching it makes me feel….okay? Fat? I don’t even know. Maybe I should lift weights while watching it. Whatever. Power to the fatties!

Today is Tuesday, but all the days blend together when you’re just….hanging out. I woke up, made coffee, threw some laundry in, sat down to drink my coffee, and am slowly getting ready to go to the gym. I love going, but I need headphones. They make all the difference.

I guess they are an investment I need to make. I know once I buy them, I’ll find mine.

anyway, deuces!
